Kate Fallon

Kate worked as an educational psychologist (EP), EP/SEN manager and senior adviser for Inclusion and SEND in a local authority setting for many years before serving as General Secretary of the AEP (Association of Educational Psychologists) between 2009 and 2023, working with many EPs, local authorities, elected politicians and children’s organisations across the UK. During this time Kate also spent 6 years as the elected Chair of the Special Education Consortium. Kate is now enjoying working as an EP again on a part time basis, particularly with young children, having a special interest in nurture groups and the use of nurturing approaches in nurseries and schools.

  • BSc Integrated Hons (Psychology and Education)(incorporates PGCE) - University of Hull 1979
  • MSc Educational Psychology (Professional Qualification) - University of Manchester 1984
